Eight in ten Americans who recently used AI spent nothing on AI software last month

Among Americans who used AI tools in their work or personal life in the past month, more than eight-in-ten (83%) say they spent nothing on AI-powered software, apps, or subscriptions during that period, according to a Verasight survey conducted July 30 to Aug. 4, 2025.
Spending above zero is rare and small: 8% spent $10 to $29, 5% spent less than $10, and just 4% paid $30 or more.
