Americans are concerned about AI data centers' environmental impact

In a Verasight survey of 1,509 U.S. adults conducted July 30 to Aug. 4, 2025, 69% of Americans were concerned about the environmental impacts of AI-supporting data centers.
About one in five were not concerned (19%), while 12% said they were unfamiliar with the topic.
