Among prediction-market users, sports is the top thing they bet on

Sports betting towers over everything else prediction-market users put money on: 57% of Americans who use these platforms say they bet on sports, according to a March 2026 Verasight survey. No other topic comes close.
Betting on US politics (27%) and crypto (26%) is about half as widespread among users, with the economy (21%), elections (20%), pop culture (19%), earnings (17%), and tech (17%) clustered behind. About one-in-ten users bet on global politics or on none of these topics (10% each).
