In a Verasight survey of 1,519 U.S. adults conducted Sept. 3 to 8, 2025, 59% of Americans disagreed that they trust Facebook to handle their personal data responsibly. This includes 34% who strongly disagree and 25% who somewhat disagree.

About one in five agreed that they trust Facebook (20%), with 15% who somewhat agree and 5% who strongly agree. Another 21% were neutral or unsure, with 18% who neither agree nor disagree and 3% who said they do not know.
