Few Americans think platforms are responsible for AI content

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted March 6 to 16, 2026, 12% of Americans ranked the platform where content was posted as most responsible for harmful political content generated by AI systems.
About a third ranked the platform third (34%), 32% ranked it second, and 21% ranked it fourth.
