Few people pin job losses directly on AI

Among Americans who lost a job in the past year, few blame AI for it; 73% say AI had nothing to do with their loss.
About one-in-eight (13%) do point to AI, whether because it reduced the need for their role (9%) or replaced it outright (4%), while 14% are unsure, according to a Verasight survey conducted July 30-Aug. 4, 2025.
