"I don't need it" is the top reason Americans skip AI

Among Americans who don't use AI products, no reason for staying away is cited more than simply not needing it (53%), according to a Verasight survey conducted July 30-Aug. 4, 2025.
Distrust follows (38%), along with concerns about privacy (30%) and AI's impact on society (27%), and 24% say they don't know how to use it. Relatively few point to environmental impacts (12%), cost (5%), or some other reason (3%).
