Keeping event betting adults-only is Americans' most common stance

No single view commands a majority, but adults-only legality comes closest: 42% of Americans say betting money on the outcome of everyday events, like political elections, should be legal only for adults, a March 2026 Verasight survey finds.
Another 21% say such betting should be completely illegal, and 14% say it should stay legal. Roughly one-in-five (22%) have no opinion.
