No clear majority of Americans say AI's benefits outweigh its risks

Americans divide closely on whether AI is worth its risks. About a third (35%) agree that, on balance, the benefits of AI outweigh the risks, including 8% who strongly agree.
A slightly larger 37% disagree, including 13% who strongly disagree, while 27% neither agree nor disagree, according to a June 2026 Verasight survey.
