If they learned their doctor supported a different political party than their own, 45% of Americans say it would not affect them at all, well ahead of any other response, according to a March 2026 Verasight survey.

Another 20% say it would make them somewhat uncomfortable but they would keep their doctor, and 17% say it would affect them a little. Just 14% would consider finding a different doctor, while relatively few (4%) say it would make them very uncomfortable but still keep their doctor.
