In a Verasight survey of 491 U.S. adults conducted in May 2026, 55% of Americans neither agreed nor disagreed that a person named Charlie Peterson is feminine.
About four-in-ten disagreed (39%), including 24% who somewhat disagree and 15% who strongly disagree. Another 6% agreed, with 6% who somewhat agree and 1% who strongly agree.
