Canadian import tariffs face more opposition than support

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Dec. 3 to 8, 2025, 48% of Americans opposed the tariffs the United States has placed on products imported from Canada.
About a quarter supported the tariffs (27%), while 19% neither supported nor opposed them and 6% did not know.
