Four in ten Americans don't know anyone in another country
Core finding
Most Americans (60%) talk to people in other countries at least occasionally, while 40% say they do not know people in other countries, according to an April 2024 Verasight survey.
For many the contact is routine: 28% talk with people abroad at least once a week, including 17% who do so more than once a week. Another 7% connect every other week, 11% about once a month, and 14% less often than that.
