A majority of Americans don't discuss politics on social media

About four-in-ten U.S. adults (40%) say they do not engage in political discussion on social media, and another 16% say they never do, according to a June 2025 Verasight survey.
A third (33%) engage occasionally and 8% do so often, while 2% say they do not use social media.
