Just over half want friends who share their values
Core finding
Roughly equal shares of Americans take no side (25%) or reject the idea that it matters for their friends to hold similar attitudes and values (24%), according to a March 2025 Verasight survey.
The rest, just over half (51%), say it does matter to them, including 12% who feel strongly.
