Core finding

Picturing themselves as a healthy eater comes easily to many Americans. More than four-in-ten (44%) say it would be very or somewhat easy, including 13% for whom it would be very easy, according to a May 2026 Verasight survey of 474 U.S. adults.

A quarter (25%) say it would be neither easy nor hard, and the remaining three-in-ten find it hard: 22% somewhat hard and 9% very hard.
