Many Americans factor in whether an action fits the "natural order of things" when they judge it. About seven-in-ten (71%) place at least moderate importance on it, including 10% who give it the greatest importance possible, according to a Verasight survey conducted Feb. 28 to March 6, 2025.

At the other end, roughly three-in-ten (29%) place little or no importance on the idea, including 13% who say none at all.
