Most Americans describe their data literacy as good

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Nov. 14 to 20, 2025, 78% of Americans rated their own data literacy as good or better. Including 27% who said good, 34% who said very good, and 17% who said excellent.
About one in seven rated their data literacy as fair (13%), and 9% rated it as poor.
