Most Americans say their parent trusted them as teenagers

A slim majority of U.S. adults (54%) disagree that, even as teenagers, their parent treated them like a little kid who couldn't be trusted, including 20% who completely disagree, according to an August 2025 Verasight survey.
About 30% agree with the statement, including 8% who completely agree, while 16% neither agree nor disagree.
