Two-thirds of Americans sleep under eight hours on weeknights

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Nov. 14 to 20, 2025, 66% of Americans said they usually sleep less than eight hours on weekday nights.
That includes 39% who said six to seven hours and 27% who said less than six hours. Another 28% said seven to eight hours, while 7% said more than eight hours.
