In a May 2026 Verasight survey, a narrow majority of Americans (54%) say they trust that White people will treat them fairly, with 16% holding that view most strongly.

About a quarter (24%) land in the middle, and roughly as many express distrust (22%), including 7% who most strongly disagree.
