Nine-in-ten Americans say schools should address children's out-of-school challenges

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 22 to 28, 2025, 90% of Americans said it is at least somewhat important that schools play a role in addressing the out-of-school challenges that affect children's academic performance. Including 24% who said extremely important, 33% who said very important, and 32% who said somewhat important.
Another 7% said this role is of low importance, and 3% said it is not at all important.
