More Americans name pepperoni as an occasional-only topping than any other: a majority (56%) put it on the list, according to a May 2024 Verasight survey.

Onion comes next at 40%, ahead of a tight band of bell pepper (37%), Canadian bacon (36%), olives (35%), pineapple (33%) and chicken (33%); 6% name none of them.
