Seven in ten would welcome affordable housing in their own neighborhood

Support for building affordable housing reaches into Americans' own neighborhoods, where 70% say they would back it nearby, including 46% who strongly agree, according to a Verasight survey conducted Feb. 28 to March 6, 2025.
About one-in-seven (15%) neither agree nor disagree, and a matching 15% are opposed, including 9% who strongly disagree.
