A slim majority haven't sent a party invitation in the past year

Fewer than half of Americans (46%) say they've used any platform in the past 12 months to send invitations for an event they organized; the other 54% haven't sent invitations for a party in that span, according to a Verasight survey conducted March 6-16, 2026.
Text message or iMessage is the most-used platform at 21%, followed by physical invites by hand or by mail (7%), Facebook Messenger (7%) and email (6%). Relatively few reach for event management platforms like Partiful or Evite (3%), another social media platform (1%) or WhatsApp (1%).
