In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted March 6 to 16, 2026, a third of Americans recently dealt with severe nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain; 67% said they had not had periods of severe nausea (i.e., feeling sick to your stomach), vomiting (i.e., throwing up), or abdominal pain (i.e., stomach pain).
Another 32% said they had had periods of severe nausea (i.e., feeling sick to your stomach), vomiting (i.e., throwing up), or abdominal pain (i.e., stomach pain).
