About two-thirds of Americans (64%) say people in their area with limited English proficiency can take part in daily life at least somewhat well, including 42% who say somewhat well and 22% very well, according to an August 2025 Verasight survey.

Far fewer see real difficulty: 17% say such participation goes at least somewhat poorly, including 3% who say very poorly, while 19% see it as neither well nor poorly.
