In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Nov. 19 to 22, 2024, 81% of Americans agreed that improving traffic safety requires a strong safety culture of shared values, attitudes, and beliefs about driving and using roadways. This includes 31% who strongly agree and 50% who agree.

Few Americans disagreed (4%), with 2% who disagree and 2% who strongly disagree. Another 15% were neutral.
