How alcohol shows up in intimacy

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 1 to 4, 2026, 36% of Americans said alcohol does not influence their sexual experiences, emotions, or feelings of intimacy with a partner at all.
Another 19% said they do not have a partner, while 16% said alcohol has a little influence, 14% said a moderate influence, and 11% said a high influence.
