Many Americans don't exercise 20 minutes even once a week

In a Verasight survey conducted Feb. 28 to March 6, 2025, nearly a quarter of Americans (23%) say they never exercise for at least 20 minutes in a typical week.
Another 18% exercise three times a week and 15% twice, with 12% managing a single session. Smaller shares work out four times (11%), five times (9%), seven or more times (8%), or six times a week (4%).
