Nutrition knowledge confidence is high for three-quarters of Americans

In a Verasight survey of 3,000 U.S. adults conducted Jan. 18 to 24, 2024, 76% of Americans said they were at least somewhat confident in their knowledge of nutrition. Including 31% who said somewhat confident, 30% who said fairly confident, and 15% who said completely confident.
About a quarter said they had little or no confidence in their nutrition knowledge (24%), with 17% who said slightly confident and 6% who said not confident at all.
