In a Verasight survey of 3,000 U.S. adults conducted Jan. 18 to 24, 2024, the vast majority said their trust in nutrition advice shifts when scientific certainty is spelled out; 86% said their trust changes at least sometimes when they know the quality of the science.

That includes 57% who said their trust changes sometimes and 29% who said yes. Another 14% said it does not change.
