Local government budget management gets low marks

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Oct. 1 to 11, 2024, 63% of Americans said their local government is managing its budget poorly or very poorly.
About four-in-ten gave positive marks, including 33% who said their local government is managing its budget well and 4% who said very well.
