More Americans plan to shop online more than less

Most Americans expect their online shopping to hold steady, with 63% saying they will do it about as much in 2026 as the year before, according to a Verasight survey conducted Dec. 22, 2025 to Jan. 5, 2026.
Those planning to buy more online (23%) outnumber those planning to buy less (13%), and just 2% do not plan to shop online at all.
