Fewer than a quarter of Americans (22%) are confident that a sense of purpose worked out with the help of AI would still feel like their own, including 3% who feel that strongly, according to a March 2026 Verasight survey.
About 45% doubt it would, including 25% who strongly disagree, and 33% are neutral.
