A slim majority say the January 6 rioters should be charged as domestic terrorists

Just over half of Americans (51%) say those who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, should be charged as domestic terrorists, including 30% who strongly agree, according to an April 2024 Verasight survey.
About a fifth (21%) neither agree nor disagree, while 28% disagree — 16% strongly.
