A third say elected officials don't represent their policy interests

In a Verasight survey conducted September 7-13, 2023, about a third of Americans (32%) disagree that elected officials represent their substantive policy interests, including 12% who strongly disagree.
A larger share, 39%, neither agree nor disagree, while 29% agree that officials represent their interests, including 9% who strongly agree.
