Almost everyone spends time in nature

Just 8% of Americans say they never engage with natural environments; the other 92% do so at least occasionally, according to a May 2026 Verasight survey.
Daily or near-daily contact is common: 27% engage once a day or more, 26% several times a week, and 22% several times a month. Smaller shares go less often, including 7% several times a year, 6% once a month, and 4% once a year or less.
