About a third of Americans (35%) agree they would take a punch so that an official from the opposing party they disliked would take two, according to a Verasight survey conducted Sept. 7-13, 2023, including 16% who strongly agree.

Another 34% take neither side, and 31% disagree, including 19% who feel that way strongly.
