Nearly half reject the claim that Democrats are dividing the country
Core finding
Nearly half of Americans reject the idea that Democrats have been harming the country by trying to divide it. In a March 2025 Verasight survey, 47% disagree with that statement, including 29% who strongly disagree.
About a third (36%) agree, including 21% who strongly agree, and 17% take neither side.
