Fewer than four in ten say military strength is the best path to world peace

Fewer than four-in-ten Americans (38%) agree that the best way to ensure world peace is through military strength, including 15% who strongly agree, according to a Verasight survey conducted April 9-15, 2025.
A slightly smaller share (35%) disagree, including 16% who strongly disagree; 22% neither agree nor disagree, and 5% offer no opinion.
