In a Verasight survey conducted May 16-17, 2023, about four-in-ten Americans (42%) agree that U.S. citizens living in Washington, D.C. have members of Congress who vote in the Senate and House.

Just over a third (36%) are unsure, and about a quarter (23%) disagree.
