Half reject the idea that everyone in the opposing party holds the same extreme views

Half of Americans (50%) disagree that every candidate from the opposing party holds the same extreme positions, including 20% who strongly disagree, according to a Verasight survey conducted Sept. 22-29, 2025.
About a quarter of Americans (25%) agree with the statement, including 7% who agree strongly, and a matching 25% neither agree nor disagree.
