Limits on foreign home buyers have broad support

In a Verasight survey of 3,000 U.S. adults conducted Sept. 22 to 29, 2025, 74% of Americans agreed that the government should limit foreign buyers from purchasing residential real estate. Including 39% who strongly agree, 20% who agree, and 15% who slightly agree.
About one in twelve disagreed (8%), with 3% who strongly disagree, 2% who disagree, and 3% who slightly disagree. Another 18% were neutral.
