Core finding
No single vision of MAGA's future commands even three-in-ten of the movement's own supporters, an April 2026 Verasight survey finds. Among Americans who identify with the MAGA movement, 29% think it should evolve into a broader populist movement less tied to Trump personally, while 26% think it should remain loyal to Trump's specific brand and policies.
Another 24% think it should become more institutionalized within the Republican Party, and just 7% want it to stay an insurgent outsider movement; 14% are not sure.
