Many Americans are undecided on barring foreign buyers from U.S. homes

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 22 to 24, 2024, 37% of Americans said they neither support nor oppose prohibitions on the purchase of residential properties by non-Americans.
About a third supported the prohibitions (34%), with 18% who somewhat support and 16% who strongly support. Another 29% opposed them, with 16% who somewhat oppose and 13% who strongly oppose.
