Nature's health shapes people's health

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted March 6 to 16, 2026, 54% of Americans said the health of the natural world, including plants and animals, affects people's health a great deal. Another 28% said it has a moderate amount of effect.
About one in seven said it has only a little or no effect (14%), with 10% who said only a little and 4% who said not at all.
