Six-in-ten Americans have low trust in current U.S. global efforts

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Aug. 1 to 6, 2025, 61% of Americans said they have low or no trust in the current U.S. government to improve the U.S. profile internationally. Including 24% who said low trust and 37% who said no trust at all.
About a quarter said they have moderate trust (25%), and 14% said they have high or complete trust in the current government's international efforts, with 10% who said high trust and 4% who said complete trust.
