Verasight surveyed 1,000 U.S. adults from August 12 to 18, 2026. 69.4% of Americans have never heard of makerspaces, while another 20.5% have heard of them but have not visited one.
Another 5.7% have visited a makerspace, 3.7% have used its facilities and 0.8% are active members. The responses distinguish awareness from participation.
