People are not convinced AI assistants have intentions

In a Verasight survey of 1,519 U.S. adults conducted Sept. 3 to 8, 2025, 47% of Americans said their main AI assistant probably or definitely does not have intentions.
About four-in-ten said their main AI assistant probably or definitely does have intentions (37%), while 16% were not sure.
